COVID-19 Vaccination Program at Halton Healthcare
On December 11, Ontario announced a three-phase implementation plan to receive, store and distribute COVID-19 vaccines across the province. The plan focuses on vulnerable populations that are at greatest risk of COVID-19 and severe illness and those who care for them.
As part of the vaccine distribution plan, the Government of Ontario designated Halton Healthcare as one of the twenty-one hospitals, across the province, to administer the COVID-19 vaccine.
We are committed to supporting the Ministry of Health as they execute the largest immunization rollout in a generation. The Halton COVID-19 Vaccination Centre at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital is administering vaccinations to individuals in the priority groups that are identified in the government’s plan. This Vaccination Centre is NOT open to the public.
Halton Region Pubic Health’s Vaccination Program
Halton Region Public Health is responsible for the allocation and administration of the vaccines at a regional level, based on the Province’s implementation plan. Public Health is working closely with partners to roll out the vaccine as quickly and equitably as possible.
